There are literally millions of women out there who just can't relax when they have a dirty home – I am one of them. I have two small kids, and most of you who have kids will know what that means: when they come home and take off their shoes, the sand from sandbox fills the doorway. They sit in the dining room for dinner and bread-crumbs keep falling under the table, later on, when they sneak a biscuit into living room, we have the same story on the couch and carpet...

Before I got my i-vacuumer, I was constantly dragging my old vacuum cleaner out of the closet and I can not tell you, how sick and tired I was of doing that. It’s not that I hate vacuuming or that I’m obsessed with cleaning, but with two small kids it just never ends! I was so fed up with it, that it made me quite frustrated... I can’t even imagine how it would be if we had another pet or two...

So, one day my husband surprised me and bought us robomov. I have to admit that I was checking on robotic vacuums for a while, but wouldn't afford it myself although they were not expensive. But, when he brought it home, I wasn't so thrilled, rather sceptical, how useful it would truly be.

Luckily it turned out that my fears didn't come true. In time we got more and more used to our robotic vacuum. I felt relieved to have clean floor and carpets without constant hand vacuuming and the other family members had a break from my moaning about it...

My husband scheduled our automatic vacuum to clean our home when we are away. Coming back each day from work and kindergarten into a clean apartment is such a relief for us all! Actually, the suction is way better than I imagined it would be and it’s great for getting the dust bunnies under the couch and the bed.

So, after the first month we became quite attached to it, and now I can say that I absolutely love it. OK, I admit it. I am hooked... I feel that I am finally getting the maid I've always wanted and deserved in all these years...

As I said, I have read a lot of reviews and other material about robotic vacuuming and payed attention to most common questions people have regarding it. I made a list of pluses and cons to help you decide whether it's worth buying:

Pluses
-We love scheduler and that it cleanses our home when we are away.
-The suction is way better than I imagined it would be. It gets up more dirt than any other vacuum that I have ever owned. In fact, when it is done you can certainly tell your carpets and floors have been freshly vacuumed. I was actually thrilled with the results!
-We have hardwood and laminate floors and there is no damage to the floors.
-My vacuumer has been used almost daily for the last 12 months and is still working perfectly, knock on wood.
-It’s very true that they get the dust bunnies under the couch and the bed.
-I have stairs, and it has never fallen over the edge.

Cons
- We don't use robo vacuum when we are sleeping or watching TV. I think that it would disturb us and that it prefers to work in an empty apartment. That's why we set our robotic to go while we are away from home or simply move it to the area that I want cleaned. But I have read a lot of comments in which people are saying that they have it scheduled to work at nights.
-It doesn't have hepa filters. The doctors suggested us to vacuum our apartment with regular vacuum cleaner every second day, and because our robot vacuums it every day, I'm convinced that it still helps to keep dust away.

To conclude: there is something about having a clean house and a clean carpet that allows me to relax… Our rooba helps me a great deal with that and that's why for me it's by far the most awesome invention we ever bought.

Good To Know When Considering To Buy Roomba

Because I own automatic vacuum for a year now, I feel that I can help you with some questions regarding its functioning and how useful it is. I'll be telling you what I told my friends about it. I also read several vacuum reviews and gathered the answers to questions people have regarding robo vac to help you decide pro or against.

So, here are the good to know things when deciding whether robotic vacuum is also for you a dream come true…

-Yes, they do pick up sand, pet hair and human hair, and the dust bunnies under the couch and bed.

-You have to make sure everything is picked up off the floor in the room in which automatic vacuum cleanses: don't leave wires and power cords in it's way or socks on the floor. Basically anything you would pick up before you would start vaccuming with a regular vacuum cleaner.
-To get the best cleaning possible from your robo vacuumer, you should clean the brushes regularly. Most of the rooba models now come with a brush cleaner, but if your doesn't, you can order one for less than $5.00, it makes cleaning the brushes a snap.
-Pet hair and human hair do get wrapped around the brush in roombas. That's why you have to clean them after each use. It takes two minutes to empy the dirt pan, blow off the air filter, and clean off the brush.
-Yes, this cleaning robots can maneuver around an irregular room, and furniture. If we have time, we sometimes move the kitchen chairs to help our roomba 581, but if we don't, we don't…
-If your rooms are all interconnected and very large you may want to use the virtual wall to section off one room from the other. You might want to purchase the Roomba Discovery model or the Scheduler, because they have a max clean button which allows it to run until the battery is drained, then the it will return to the home base and charge for the next use. In the normal clean cycle it runs until it detects no dirt or the battery looses charge and then returns to the home base.
-New models have slower running speed, which means that they are much gentler if they bange into certain things, like furniture legs. Also, I noticed that they slow down much better when approaching walls.
-Roomba scheduler is a great thing, because it sends vacuums at work while you are away.

In my experience the Roomba prooved to be very efficient. I don't hate vacuuming in general, but I absolutely hate vacuuming every single day! That's why I love it when somebody or something does that for me… Not to mention that I absolutely love it when my floors are freshly vacuumed.

Roomba Review: Roombas in Comparison With Usual Vacuumers

Before we get to roomba review, let's look at it's origins …

iRobot is a company, which specializes in military robots and general robotic experimentation. They introduced a product called Roomba in 2002. The automatic vacuum cleaner was able to make its way around a room all by itself, scooting under furniture and avoiding obstacles. It was a revolutionary idea in floor cleaning: the little robot was able to learn and remeber the layout of the room it vacuumed to maximize its efficiency.

And this state of the art technology has come a long way since 2002! They always upgraded its models, specialy the minuses: newer series are much more advanced than the old ones.

Why are roombas so much better than the usual vacuumers?

When I decided to create a roomba review, I asked myself this question. It was not difficult to answer …

The greatest good everybody is lacking in these days is time. Robotic vacuum is a real time saving device that does the vacuuming for us automatically. With scheduler it turns itself on and vacuums our appartment when we are not at home – it has to be said, that the programming is really easy (I'm not a techno type).

Robo vacuum returns itself to its docking station to recharge when it finishes vacuuming. It has battery life indicator, but basically the battery lasts as long as it takes to vacuum up to four rooms on a single battery charge. And, what's best, it vacuums all the way under the beds, couch and tables. No more pushing around a heavy, clumsy vacuum, no more creeping under the bed and couch.

Cliff sensors prevent i robomov from falling down the stairs or off ledges. It even knows when a spot of floor is dirtier than the rest and cleanses it, and it really does pick up dirt and hair! I can't imagine being without it anymore, and I only have two kids. With an additional pet or two, I would definitely want to have a robo vac, too.

Our automatic vacuumer easily moves from carpet surfaces to hard floors and back. It can intelligently navigate around objects and has the ability to remember the layout of the room it has just cleaned so it knows how to be more efficient the next time! If you want it to clean in one room only, you can use the virtual walls with infra red signals.

With it I have the cleaning help I always wanted: even better, actually, because I don't have anyone I would have to deal with and pay for.

Can you think of anything better? I do, actually, although I haven't tested it jet: Scooba Robotic Floor Washer washes, scrubs and drys, all in one operation!

I hope that this roomba review was helpful.
